Across the East Tennessee region, EVELC also serves a 16 county area providing in-home developmental therapy services to children from birth to age three with developmental disabilities in the following counties: Anderson, Campbell, Scott, Morgan, Roane, Claiborne, Union, Grainger, Hamblen, Jefferson, Cocke, Sevier, Blount, Knox, Loudon, and Monroe. Degreed and experienced early interventionists travel to family homes or other community child care or Early Head Start settings across the counties listed to work with families and young children with disabilities or developmental delays.
Emory Valley Early Learning Center holds a high distinction as Anderson Counties first and only nationally accredited program, earning accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) – the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals. Nationally, more than 7,000 programs are currently accredited by NAEYC; making up just 8 percent of all preschools and other early childhood programs nationwide.
